Holidays Recap Part 1: The Internship
OK I got bored with the previous blog layout and decided to go back to something minimalist. So anyway, I'm starting school today and I thought I should do a recap of the crazy holidays that just passed.
TheInternship
It still feels a little weird that work has ended. It felt as though I was going to be there forever.
My internship was with a small design firm called Sketch Worxs and it is situated in Katong. From the day I started work on 4th May, I got to be involved in a range of works and although most of them are very similar in nature, I'm grateful for such exposure.
I started out alone, as the sole employee before Ruey Jen (FYI: She's my ex-classmate and classmate -to-be) joined me about 3 weeks later. From the cosy office in Katong Mall to the not-so-usual one above Charlie's Peranakan, it's been quite an experience. I've met new people, learnt new things and tasted Katong's delicacies. Haha.
I'm definitely going to miss a lot of things. My seat, the radio stations that we played in office, the food, the snacks, my bosses' non-stop hilarious bickering... Whatever it is, I guess my point is, it's been a good 3 months. And I really wanna thank my bosses for being such wonderful superiors. And of course, I have to thank Ruey Jen, whom I've been facing almost everyday for the past few months! THANK YOU!
Well, the last day was unexpectedly emotional. Wasn't sure if it's partly because of all the things that have been happening recently but I was actually quite sad to walk out of the office. It even felt as though I was going to tear. Haha maybe I'm just being silly.
